“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” -Walt Disney
Ever since I can remember, I always dreamt of going to the Disney World dressed as a Disney Princess!! I have a deep love for all things Disney and even thought of being a Disney animator when I was young. There’s something special about this place. Maybe it’s because of magical childhood memories or because every inch is covered with fascinating details. Whatever the reason, there’s a palpable magic in the air.
Christmas time is even more magical at the Magic Kingdom with twinkling lights, holiday carolers, and holiday cheer. What’s best is that we were able to celebrate it a little early in the “Most Magical Place on Earth”. We traveled to Orlando and our 1-day itinerary was fixed for Walt Disney World ‘s Magic Kingdom Park.
THE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS
Magic Kingdom, decked out in holiday cheer was transformed into a holiday wonderland. The Main Street, U.S.A. to Cinderella Castle speckled with bright lights, toy soldiers, poinsettias, Mickey wreaths, holiday trees and so much more. For us to visit Magic Kingdom this season and seeing the park decorated for the holidays was truly a heartwarming sight.
FROZEN HOLIDAY WISH
Elsa, from the movie Frozen, comes out and “freezes” the castle in dancing lights (illuminates over 200,000 LED lights that adorn Cinderella Castle). It is a wonderful sight to behold as the “ice” swirls around the castle and finishes with a BANG (fireworks)!
Throughout the day, there were multiple parades scheduled; we didn’t miss them. Each and every one of the Disney parades offers their own sense of magic. Since we’re not all about standing in the majorly lengthy lines to meet our favorite Disney characters, this was the best way to see some of them up close! Plus, it was a street party and the characters involved the audience with their performance which was super fun.
MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME
So there were two things that are now my keepsake of Magic Kingdom. One is the super-cute Minnie Mouse ears and the perfect picture in front of Cinderella Castle. Magic Kingdom is designed mostly for smaller children but I would say that it’s the one filled with the most magic.
HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Last but certainly the best was the “Happily Ever After” firework, which was PURE MAGIC. It was mesmerizing and made me want to cry with pure happiness. I already had Abhi promise me that we’ll come back together in at least 5 years. TAKE ME BACK ALREADY!!
THE MAGICAL FEELING
It’s the most special thing Disney World has to offer, and it’s impossible to truly explain the intensity of the special feeling that immediately takes over on stepping into one of the parks. Plus, the fireworks are like none other which totally adds to the magical sensation. If you’ve never been, go. If you’ve been, go back. It’s all worth the feeling of magic!!
